This recognizable glass jar is a classic of Finnish glass design and everyday history. Manufacturer: Karhula glass factory (operated in Kotka). Production period: Karhula kitchen jars were manufactured mainly from the 1930s until the early 1960s. Distinguishing features: The side of the jar is decorated with an embossed bear logo and the text KEITTIÖTÖLKKI. The shape of the jar is practically square with rounded corners, which saved space on pantry shelves. The jar in the picture still has its original tin screw lid, with a blue Karhula logo showing signs of age.
